HOW TO REGISTER FOR VAT IN HUNGARY
Our advisors are at your service to support you in the procedure of applying VAT registration in Hungary.
We always keep contact with the tax authority in person in order to avoid any delay or loss resulting from the post service.
After a preliminary discussion - in person or in e-mail - our advisors size up the specified transaction from VAT point of view and give you an advise whether VAT registration is obligatory or not.
After you confirm our quotation we will send you:
- the list of the required documents for the VAT registration
- power of attorney for our company
- framework contract and money laundering declaration form
After we receive all documents from your side and all information becomes available we personally submit the registration form and the supporting documents to the tax authority.
We send you the official stamped copy of the form as a proof of submission in e-mail.
When the VAT number is generated, our courier takes over the certification at the tax office. We inform you about the VAT number and the start date of its validity in e-mail.
After receipt the VAT number we prepare the application form for our electronic access. This is necessary for the electronic submission of the subsequent tax returns. We send you the application form in pdf format. After the original, signed form returns, our courier personally submits that to the tax authority. When our electronic access is opened, we submit the tax returns through the website of the tax authority.
Cancelling the VAT registration
After you confirm our quotation we send you the power of attorney for our company for deregistration. We prepare the closing tax returns and the deregistration form. We submit the required documents electronically (in special cases by paper). The deregistration form is submitted paper-based and personally to the tax authority, from which we send you an official stamped copy in e-mail. The VAT number becomes invalid on the date of submission.
In case of VAT deregistration the tax authority often conducts closing tax audit. Therefore it is suggested to prepare for the audit and retain all records and documents within the term of limitation.
